The Food Factory

The Food Factory offers free hands on cookery workshops across the course of both the Food Festival and the Chocolate Festival!

Running in both Museum Gardens and St Crux Hall this year’s workshops include:

  • Bread making
  • Vegan dips
  • Making your own pasta
  • And MUCH MORE!

This page is designed for those who came and wanted to look up the recipe, but it’s also there for anyone who wants to re-use or adapt the material for use elsewhere.  The recipes come with additional teaching tips and potential variations.  All this material is copywrite free.  Donations to the Festival are always appreciated!  Make a Donation

Vegan Dips!

Dip Dip Hooray!! Our two vegan dips go down a treat in a workshop and are surprisingly easy too!

Chocolate Mousse!

This is the fancier version of the mousse we make in our workshops, but it's just as tasty and uses up all the egg yolks too!

Over the course of the Festival we offer workshops free of charge to local primary schools and youth groups! This year we have over 800 children and young people attending workshops run both by the Food Factory and local producers and chefs!
